Founded by sisters Manar and Sharifah Alhinai, the Khaleeji Art Museum is the first digital museum dedicated to showcasing the modern and contemporary work of artists of the Arab Gulf States. We are driven by an all-women team from the region who seek to reimagine what a museum can be: borderless, rooted in identity, and responsive to the region’s evolving art landscape.

Since our establishment in 2020, we have exhibited the work of over 190 established and emerging artists from and based in the Gulf. From virtual art exhibitions to art-in-flight collaborations, we have brought Khaleeji creativity to new spaces and audiences, transcending geographic limitations. We have even projected Gulf art onto the world’s largest screen over water. By maintaining a strong digital existence, we strive to lower barriers and make art more accessible to those long excluded from traditional spaces.
