About the Artist

Her Highness Meyyan bint Shihab Al Said is a multidisciplinary creative from the Sultanate of Oman, where she has previously exhibited her work. Deeply inspired by natural landscapes and the serenity they offer, her artistic journey began with a love for documenting the places she visited. This passion was sparked farther when, as a teenager, her father gifted her a camera, which she took on a road trip across Oman—igniting a lasting fascination with visual storytelling. Reflections explores the beauty of nature, imagination, and memory through the eyes of Her Highness Sayyida Meyyan bint Shihab Al Said, a multidisciplinary creative from The Sultanate of Oman. Inspired by the diverse landscapes of her native country, and her travels around the world, the artist captures scenes that feel dreamlike.

Her Highness’s journey with photography began with a camera gifted to her by her father and a scenic roadtrip. Since then, she has been drawn to capturing the quiet beauty of flowers, the strength of horses, and the serene moments found in nature, through her Fuji X-T2 Mirrorless camera or iPhone. Each image is carefully edited to tell a story, sometimes with added text, other times through color and light alone.

With an academic background in design and innovation, the artist brings a creative and meditative approach to her work. Her style has grown over time through trial and exploration, blending photography with digital art to create images that feel poetic and surreal.

The theme of reflections comes from her desire to explore not just the outer world, but also the inner world of thoughts, feelings, and imagination. One of her favorite pieces, Eternal, shows a small paper boat floating in a magical landscape, a symbol of how we all journey through life, carried by wonder and mystery.
This exhibition is an invitation to see the beauty of the world through a new lens, where every flower holds meaning, and every image tells a quiet story.
