Overview:

Museum in the Sky was a special experience brought to viewers by the Khaleeji Art Museum that was available on Emirates Airlines, the world’s leading airlines, and Etihad Aiways. Showing on Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways’ inflight entertainment, in 2022, the experience allowed passengers onboard all flights to enjoy art of the Arab Gulf States and become more familiar with it. It also formed part of the Khaleeji Art Museum’s ongoing effort to present the art of the region in innovative ways to build cultural bridges with millions of people around the world.

Through Museum in the Sky, passengers met artists who were from and/or were based in the region, who spoke about their artistics journeys and showcased some of their favourite creations in their individual galleries in the sky.
In its first volume, four Emirati and UAE-based multidisciplinary artists – eL Seed, Hussain Almoosawi, Maitha Abdalla, and Nujoom Al-Ghanem– recounted their artistic beginnings and walked viewers through three of their most memorable works of art in their galleries in the sky.

Volume I of Museum in the Sky was brought with the support of our media partner, Art and Object, a fine arts news website based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA.
